Artist and toy designer Sanele Qwabe fuses creativity and technical expertise to create toys that are far more than playthings, vessels of memory, emotion, and storytelling. As founder of Kind Kid, he aims to bridge gap between past and present. Born as tribute to younger selves, Kind Kid reimagines childhood dreams and brings them to life, celebrating simplicity of childhood. He drives culture forward by reminding us that dreams of our youth are worth pursuing, proving toys can be powerful vessels of memory and emotion, creating work that honors childhood while building space for adults to reconnect with wonder, imagination, and dreams they once held.
