Biography

Self-taught artist Lesedi Modupi specializes in ballpoint pen drawing, achieving incredible detail on Fabriano paper through patience and precision. His work focuses on the beauty and personality of Black children, blending traditional drawing styles with fresh, modern aesthetic. What started as childhood hobby of sketching people close to him has grown into professional practice capturing the world around him. He drives culture forward by documenting the joy and potential of the next generation, showing that everyday lives and people in neighborhoods are worthy of being seen as fine art, creating visual record that honors identity and inspires others to see beauty in their own surroundings.
