Biography

Photographer Hlohi "Lolo" Ndlovu focuses on queer culture, music culture, and youth culture through visual storytelling. With educational background in city planning, their work explores design, urbanism, and migration, examining how we move in spaces and how the places we live in inform who we become. Their practice examines the relationship between built environment and identity formation, documenting communities navigating urban spaces. They drive culture forward by refining their practice and voice as collective effort, inspiring peers to do the same, proving pushing culture requires everyone to participate and contribute their voices and hands, whatever way that looks like, creating permission through their own journey of discovery and documentation.
