Nkgopoleng Moloi expresses her love for architecture and spaces people navigate. The images explore society’s relationship; the creation of how people move, navigate and occupy that space.

''My images explore society’s relationship with space; the creation of that space, how people move, navigate and occupy that space.  My approach towards making images was born of the need to capture the spectacular.

I am now interested in beauty in the mundane, I am constantly in awe of how the mundane can display beauty and function through geometry, asymmetry and depth. At the broadest level, architecture can be classed into monumental or vernacular. Monumental is often cloaked with grandeur domes, columns and the occasional statue.

That’s all nice but it doesn’t speak to me. I am drawn towards everyday architecture, it creates a far better conversation about us as humans. Architecture; of streets, buildings, spaces and atmosphere is more than just about objects and matter. Rather, it is a document of our collective ideas about life because ultimately architecture is about people.' she explains.
